Gentleness

"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."

Proverb 15:1

Solomon was a very wise man.  God has granted him wisdom and knowledge beyond his years and beyond what men had seen.  I have seen this verse to be true several times in my own life.

This is a great truth to remember in relationships.  Be gentle and avoid wrath, be harsh and stir up a fight so to speak.  It may be difficult to respond to someone with gentleness at times but it is worth it.  Who wants to talk with someone who is angry?  I know I dont like it.  Ok, some people do enjoy it but it is much more pleasant to talk with someone who isnt angry.  And how great is it that we can be the person to keep the anger away?

We have a lot of power when we choose to be gentle.  To power to keep anger, wrath and arguments away.  But it will be our choice.  The other person may choose their actions but with gentleness we can do our part to keep things calm.

What will you choose today:  gentleness or harsh words?

Been a While

So seems that it has been a while since I last blogged.  I think it is time to start once more.  I guess I could say that things have been busy, which wouldn't entirely be a lie.  My Bible studies as of late have been in a different style.  They have been book studies through Beth Moore and others.  I have learned a lot through them but have not shared.  Even though I am not studying a book directly from the Bible per se, I think I will once again share what God speaks to me.  Not that what I have to say is so important but because it becomes a good reminder to me in the future when I look back.

Excited to once again be back in the blogging world.  And cant wait to see what God has to say!
