Giving Generously

"Remember this:  Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.  Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.  And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work....You will be rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion"
2 Corinthians 9:6-8+11

In reality this whole chapter is great.  Paul shares how the Corinthian church has been eagerly serving and ready to give.  He shares how God blesses this attitude.

It is always amazing to me how quickly I am able to forget what life is all about.  How easily I forget that all I have is not mine but God's and how willing he is to bless when I remember this truth.  Why is it so difficult to remember to be generous when we have the knowledge that, God is able to make all grace abound to us, so that in all things at all times, having all that we need, we will abound in every good work?  It seems pretty ridiculous to think otherwise.

Thought for the day:  "You will be rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion"

Q&T: Questions Without Answers only Truth

We all come to a point in our lives when we question God.  Questions come in many forms depending on the situation we find ourselves in.  I know there have been many moments in my life when I questioned God's plan, especially when it seemed to make no sense.  At this moment in my life, I am in a place of transition, and I asked: What are some of the major questions we ask God, and, more importantly, what are the answers to these questions? I found there are three major questions we ask. Question 1:  When?  When will it happen? When will my prayer be answered? When will I see a change? When will I know that God has changed things? When do I need to do what's asked of me?  There are a lot of when questions.  This question is about timing. Entertaining a Fool

"Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you will be like him yourself." Proverbs 26:4 This may sound like a common sense type of statement.  But all to often this can be true of how we portray ourselves.  To many times we want to be right and we know what another is saying is not "the right way to look at it" or its not a correct view point so we argue our point.  We want to make sure that he is corrected.
